I would go as soon as the school allows, which usually is after the puppy's second round of shots. Until then, you can work on socializing your puppy, and introducing it to new people, dogs (ones that you know they are fully vaccinated), and situations. That's prime time for socializing (before 16 weeks). You also learn things like manners and basic obedience. Because trainers nowadays don't use the old, harsh training methods, young puppies can now go to obedience classes.
